My fitness journey hasn’t been a typical one, but it has changed my life, and every day I promise my clients that I will pay it forward. My journey began about 10 years ago. While I tried to play high school football, I was coming from a life of poverty and never had the right focus. Instead, I put my energy into education and trying to support my family through whatever means available to me. But bad decision making eventually led me to prison. That’s when I decided to start from scratch, get focused, and make fitness my foundation.
I devoted my time to studying fitness, led group classes, and was determined to turn a negative into a positive. Since my return home, I’ve obtained my Personal Training license from NFPT, my Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification from ACE, and studied with Resistance Training Specialist (RTS). I have worked with clients of every fitness level, from athletes to the elderly, and everyone in between. Teaming up with Legacy gave me an opportunity to completely change my life. I never take a day off on making myself better, every single day. And, if you give me the same opportunity, I promise to do the same for you.
I joined Legacy as a Personal Trainer because I firmly believe in its No Days Off philosophy. It’s all about being the best version of yourself and never quitting. Through the struggle is where you find what your purpose is. Through the struggle is when you decide who you want to be. Everyday, I just ride that discipline because that’s when you get your results. And, that’s the same motivation and determination that I bring to my personal training clients.
Prior to Legacy, I worked for Motion Stretch, which is a start up company focused largely on stretch therapy as part of a broader physical therapy program. I am a graduate of Georgia State University, where I majored in kinesiology and health. I currently reside in Little Havana with my wife Bianca. When I’m not keeping busy with Legacy you can catch me riding bikes on the A1A.
I’ve been involved in organized sports since childhood. I played football, basketball, and ran track throughout grade school. In college, I was fortunate enough to play football and run track. During that time, I earned my degree in kinesiology, and spent two years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Coe College. I loved coaching and motivating, so after college I started training folks around my neighborhood who wanted to make a change.
Then I was offered this great opportunity to join the Legacy team and be part of the No Days Off movement. I knew this is where I was meant to be because I love seeing others achieve their greatness.
